Most of the countries that have received this subsidy in the past are relatively poorer than Sri Lanka, and many more countries that have not received this subsidy still remain below the low-income cut-off. Sri Lanka is also not completely free of corruption, as political corruption has become a frequent topic of discussion in the country. The United States and other Western countries have also claimed human rights violations against Sri Lanka, particularly during the final phase of the LTTE separatist war. Our location is quite appropriate neutral position for the world in Trade Exchange, Center of Global Value Chain Economy and Global Supply Chain, while increasing the financial center of the stock market, as the International Settlement Banking Center and other business services locations can be served prudently. The north/east is still Sri Lanka. The United States will never leave once it is allowed to move in. The United States refuses to leave Iraq. With the United States, all UN agreements and resolutions make no sense – they are NOT respected by the United States. Sri Lanka cannot do anything. Honestly, I just can`t understand Ranil. Certainly, its main interest should be Sri Lanka and NOT make Sri Lanka a submissive country. We need to see how Gota and Mara want to deal with the MCC after the elections! In my opinion, we must return to non-aligned relations and work with India to prevent the superpower rivalry from taking place in Sri Lanka.
China already has too much influence. The Buddhist priest who began the hunger strike should be congratulated because the two traitors, Sirisena and Ranil W, the Leach, had signed the previous agreement. Can these traitors read? State Department officials have visited Sri Lanka since the presidential election and held various talks with the Sri Lankan community. The aim seems to be to convince Sri Lankans that the MCC agreement greatly benefits Sri Lanka. In a recent discussion between a group of Sri Lankans and some State Department officials, one of the U.S. officials referring to the deal said that « there is no such thing as a free lunch. » This comment, which is reported in the media, is intended to be an answer to a journalist`s question about what the United States is getting out of this agreement. We have to choose between the United States, China and India. India is not yet a great power. The Interest of the United States in us is not because we are a poor country, but for strategic reasons. The United States does not want us to follow the Chinese path. Do we really want to follow the Chinese path? Very unlikely. We got dressed and behaved like the Yanks quite voluntarily, sending our kids there to study, watch American movies, listen to American music, all voluntarily.
But that doesn`t mean we should sell the land to the Americans. China will never have soft power. The three agreements are linked, one or nothing. That is essentially the problem. The Millennium Agreement alone doesn`t sound bad, but turning the country into a virtual American base means losing control. We are beggars anyway. Our corrupt politicians from both parties have led us to keep people divided for their profits. Nevertheless, we do not have to lose the independence we have on our plates. Sri Lanka should therefore look at what is happening and what will happen in the Philippines and what will happen there in the future. By the end of the year, they should know.
They wisely said that they were not abandoning the MCC, but that they were considering some changes. You need to delay the changes until the end of the year. At this point, we should know whether Trump was re-elected or not and what happened in the Philippines.
